Guangzhou Award in the 2014 MIECF
From March 27 to 29, the 2014 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (abbreviated as the MIECF) was held in Macao, which was attended by over 6,800 professional guests, including government officials, experts, academicians and corporate representatives from 53 countries and regions. Of these 6,800 guests, 1,766 were forum participants, 67 were speakers and hosts from 13 countries and regions, 176 were international journalists and 439 were exhibitors. The Guangzhou delegations were invited to exhibit and promote the 2nd Guangzhou Award. The exhibits covered a wide range of fields, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, green construction, green transportation and environmental services.
During the Exhibition, the Guangzhou delegation staged a thematic exhibition to promote the 2nd Guangzhou Award and invited city managers to participate in the 2nd Guangzhou Award. Attendees from various countries and regions expressed their great interests in the Guangzhou Award, including the representatives from such organizations as Austrian Trade Commission, Portugal-China Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Government of Hsinchu County of Taiwan, the Official Provisional Municipal Council of Macao and the Environmental Protection Department of Guizhou.
Initiated by the government of Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR), the MIECF aims at promoting the exchanges between the Pan Pearl River Delta and the international market in environmental protection, commerce, technology and information.
