On April 2, the council meeting of the Guangzhou institute on Urban Innovation was held at the secretariat of Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation. Leaders of the institute, including President Liang Guiquan, vice President Wang Yongping, vice President Li Jiangtao and vice President Gu Jianqing, Secretary General Liu Baochun, attended the meeting. Also present was Wang Fuchun, deputy director general of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou government.

Liu presided over the meeting and reported to the council on the progress, plans and visions of the institute. The meeting also covered topics, including sustainable operation, international cooperation and exchanges.
