Guangzhou Award in the WUF 7 in Medellin
From April 6 to 13, the Guangzhou Award delegation attended the 7th World Urban Forum hosted by UN Habitat in Medellin, Colombia and staged an exhibition to introduce the 2nd Guangzhou Award, which attracted great attention from the participants of the conference.
The exhibition aims to publicize the Guangzhou Award and invite the attendees to participate in the Guangzhou Award. The UCLG Secretary General Josep Roig and the Metropolis Secretary General Alain Le Saux visited the booth and spoke highly of the Guangzhou Award. Large numbers of city representatives were interested in participating in the Guangzhou Award.
Hosted by the UN Habitat biennially, World Urban Forum is the highest-level international forum of UN in terms of city development and also the largest-scaled conference concerning the global human habitat. The theme of WUF 7 is “Urban Equity in Development Cities for Life”, covering the hot topics of energy, environment, land, housing, infrastructure, sanity, education, health, safety, slam renovation, etc. Apart from the main roundtables and dialogues, it also actively held side events and exhibition, with almost 10 thousand participants.
