Symposium on Guangzhou award successfully held
On April 24-25, the Symposium on the Guangzhou Award was successfully held in Hong’an, Hubei. Representatives from CPAFFC, including President Ms. Li Xiaolin, Director General Mr. Song Jingwu and Deputy Director General Ms. Zhang Ruolin of Eurasian Department, and Mr. Tang Guocai, Deputy Director General of Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Peter Woods, Ambassador of UCLG ASPAC, Mr. Nicholas You, the Guangzhou Award advisor as well as more than 80 representatives from different provinces and cities attended the meeting.
President Li Xiaolin delivered a speech to emphasize the significance of the Guangzhou Award and its relationship with urban development in China. She called for active participation in the 2nd Guangzhou Award to showcase the charisma of the Chinese cities. Mr. Song Jingwu spoke highly of the Guangzhou Award from the perspective of city diplomacy and regarded it as an important carrier to make the voice of China heard.
