Guangzhou delegation visits Japan and Israel to promote Guangzhou Award
Mr. Liu Baochun, Director General of Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office and Secretary-General of Guangzhou Institute for Urban Innovation, led a delegation to Japan and Israel from June 1 to June 8.
During their stay in Japan, the delegation visited Fukuoka, an international sister city of Guangzhou and Oita, an international friendship city.
In Fukuoka, the delegation attended the Fourth Kyushu Japan-China Friendship Conference and had meetings with International Affairs Department of Fukuoka City and Fukuoka-Guangzhou Litchi Association respectively.
When visiting Oita, the delegation learnt about Oitas’ successful experience in spurring innovation in science and technology and supporting entrepreneurship and promoted the Guangzhou Award.
In Israel, the delegation met a number of people and exchanged thoughts on strengthening ties in science and technology innovation, incubation and development of innovative enterprises, and promotion of the Guangzhou Award.
Among the people the delegation visited are Han Jun, Counselor for Science and Technology of the Embassy of China in Israel, Yossi Vardi, Israel’s father of entrepreneurs; Nadav Cohen, the incoming Consul-General of Consulate General of Israel in Guangzhou; Ruth Koren, President of Oscar 4B; Avner Lushi, CEO of Intelitek and President of Guangzhou Sino-Israeli Bio-industry Investment Fund.
