Lei Weiju visits Guangzhou Urban Renewal Bureau
Lei Weiju visits the Guangzhou Urban Renewal Bureau on Feb 10.
Lei Weiju, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government visited Guangzhou Urban Renewal Bureau on Feb 10.
During the visit, Lei met with Zhang Li, the bureau’s deputy director general, to discuss the urban renewal cases from the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award).
Lei made an overview on the Guangzhou Award and the urban renewal cases in the International Urban Innovation Database, and gave a brief review of the urban renewal forum held at last year’s Guangzhou International Urban Innovation Conference. Lei expressed his hope that the award will promote more excellent cases and experiences throughout the world, as well as Guangzhou’s own outstanding urban renewal projects.
Echoing Lei, Zhang said that Guangzhou is happy to and desire to explore excellent foreign projects and push its own experience to go global.
Also at the meeting, representatives from Liwan district gave a presentation on the renewal project for the historic Enning Road, hoping to publicize it through the Guangzhou Award.
