Working Meeting held for UCLG Members of Chinese Mainland
The 2017 Working Meeting for UCLG Members of Chinese Mainland is held in Beijing, Feb 14.
The 2017 Working Meeting for UCLG Members of Chinese Mainland was held by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) in Beijing on Feb 14.
At the meeting, CPAFFC’s Vice President Song Jingwu congratulated the Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal Government Wen Guohui for being elected as the Co-President of UCLG at the 2016 UCLG World Council Meetings and Guangzhou for being the UCLG Co-president city for four consecutive cycles.
Song said it fully demonstrates the increasing influence and active participation that Guangzhou and other Chinese cities have in international organization and global affairs.
Mayor Wen said the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award ) has developed well into a platform for promoting global sustainable urban development through the study of excellent initiatives.
Liu Baochun, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government, attended the meeting and reviewed the 3rd Guangzhou Award, 2016 Guangzhou International Urban Innovation Conference, and Guangzhou International Innovation Festival which were held in December 2016.
