Delegation from the Metropolis visits Guangzhou
Delegates from the World Association of the Major Metropolises meet with Mr. Liu Baochun (R), Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government in Guangzhou, April 8.
A delegation from the World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis) visited Guangzhou on April 7-8, to exchange ideas on urban development.
Senior Advisor Mr. Sunil Dubey, and Institutional Relations and Asia Portfolio Manager Ms. Agnès Charlotte Bickar from the Metropolis, met with Mr. Liu Baochun, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government and Regional Secretary of Metropolis ASPAC, during the two-day visit. They discussed the key role of Guangzhou, as a member of the association, in driving regional development.
The delegation also held talks with the Guangzhou Urban Planning & Design Survey Research Institute (GZPI). Both sides spoke of their enthusiasm for promoting urban innovation and strengthening multilateral cooperation through the platform of the Metropolis, based on urban planning and construction.
