Guangzhou officials attend 2017 UCLG-ASPAC Conference & Executive Bureau
Officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government attend the UCLG-ASPAC conference in Catbalogan, the Philippines.
The United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG-ASPAC) Conference & Executive Bureau 2017 was held in the city of Catbalogan, the Philippines on April 5-7.
A workgroup from the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government led by Vice Counsel Mr. Ma Manhe attended the event to discuss urban achievements with other global representatives.
Mr. Ma expressed his gratitude to the secretariat of the UCLG-ASPAC for their support for Guangzhou's development, and sharing in the city's achievements made since August in 2016.
He also warmly welcomed UCLG-ASPAC members to attend the 2nd Workshop for Thought Leaders Learning from Urban Innovation, an international seminar that will be held in Guangzhou in November this year.
President of UCLG-ASPAC Mr. Won Hee-ryong and Secretary General Ms. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi spoke highly of Guangzhou's contribution to UCLG-ASPAC and urban development.
More than 200 representatives from 30 cities in 18 countries attended the three-day event, including members from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and seven Chinese cities.
