Guangzhou award brainstorms study tours
The preparatory meeting for study tours of the third Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award) was held by the Award's secretariat from May 22 to 23.
An advisory panel, led by Mr. You Jianhua, Advisor to the Guangzhou Award, was composed of representatives from the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), the World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis), ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), and the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP).
The advisory panel holds a preparatory meeting for study tours for the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation from May 22 to 23.
The advisory panel held an in-depth discussion on the work of the study tour and gave their opinions and suggestions on guidelines, reports and case applications.
They also visited the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City on May 23, to learn about its overall planning and project progress and seek possibilities of promoting global innovative practices in urban management.
