Excellent urban innovation shared in Guangzhou
The ninth Urban Innovation Forum, an event focusing on sharing excellent urban innovation with Guangzhou citizens, was held at Guangzhou Library on Sept 16.
Mr. Li Xiaohui, Deputy Director General and Senior Engineer of Planning Research Center at Guangzhou Urban Planning and Design Survey Research Institute was invited to the forum and shared experience in community reconstruction from Copenhagen, Denmark and Brussels Capital Region, Belgium.
Both European cities amazed experts of the technical committee and jury of the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award) in 2016, with their democratic policy-making model, where the public's initiative and creativity in urban planning and reconstruction were given full play.
