Guangzhou delegation attends UCLG ASPAC council meeting
The 2017 UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau and Council Meetings & Regional Symposium on Marine Economy and Urban Development were held in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian province from Nov 8 to 10.
On behalf of Mayor Wen Guohui of Guangzhou, Co-President of UCLG, Mr. Diao Ailin, Deputy Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipal Government led a delegation from Guangzhou to attend the three-day events at the invitation of the Secretariat of the United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG-ASPAC).
The 2017 UCLG ASPAC Council Meeting opens in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian province on Nov 8.
Mr. Diao delivered a keynote speech at the council meeting and briefed the audience on the previous close exchanges and cooperation between Guangzhou and UCLG-ASPAC. He also welcomed global entries to the fourth Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation in 2018.
Guangzhou delegates shared views and discussed with other representatives, including those from UCLG-ASPAC, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Catbalogan, the Philippines.
