Vote for Your Favourite City: The Online Vote for the 6th Guangzhou Award City of Your Choice
Urban innovation not only promotes sustainable global development, it also affects our daily lives. Under the framework of the 6th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award), the online voting for the City of Your Choice is in full swing. We invite global netizens to vote for their favourite cities and innovative cases.
From November 1st to November 30th (UTC+8), global netizens will have the chance to decide which city is the 6th Guangzhou Award’s City of Your Choice by voting online. The city with the most votes will be entitled as the “City of Your Choice”, and will be awarded at the Award Ceremony of the 6th Guangzhou Award in this December.
The Guangzhou Award is committed to the comprehensive, harmonious, and sustainable development of global cities. Up to now, it has been held to the sixth cycle, with the participation of over 1,600 urban innovation cases. The 6th Guangzhou Award received a total of 274 initiatives from 193 cities and local governments in 54 countries and regions. Based on the criteria of innovation, effectiveness, context, and replicability and their relevance to the local implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda (NUA), The 11 Technical Committee members from 11 countries selected 45 Deserving initiatives, from which 15 shortlisted cities stood out.
Besides the online voting, the International Seminar on Learning from Urban Innovation will be held online from November 6th to 9th, 2023. During the seminar, the finalists of the Guangzhou Award will present their shortlisted initiatives and answer questions from the moderators and the audience.
