“Growing With The Cities” Photo Contest Winners Announced
Since “Growing With The Cities” photo contest started in May, the Secretariat of Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation has received 497 photos from 32 cities of 17 countries around the world. After evaluation by a panel of professional photographers and representatives from international organisations, 15 groups of works finally stood out:

The exhibition under the same theme of “Growing With The Cities”, will be held on the 8th floor in Guangzhou Library from September 30th – October 30th, to showcase the photo contest winners and their urban stories. In addition, an online exhibition, including the 15 winners and a selection of other submissions, will be launched in October.
The competition is supported by the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and the World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis), as well as the Guangzhou Library and the School of Industrial Design of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
The Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation is co-hosted by the UCLG, Metropolis and the City of Guangzhou. It aims to recognize innovation in improving social, economic and environmental sustainability in cities and regions and, in so doing, to advance the prosperity and quality of life of their citizens.
