Workshop on innovation, Buenos Aires city's interdepartmental collaboration and urban governance program
On May 21, the Workshop on Urban Innovation: Interdepartmental Collaboration and Urban Governance achieved great success in Buenos Aires. The workshop was co-hosted by the Guangzhou Institute for Urban Innovation (GIUI), UCLG Community on Urban Innovation, Secretariat of Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation and Buenos Aires City Council. Representatives from Guangzhou CPPCC, UCLG, Metropolis, Buenos Aires City Council, the Guangzhou Award Jury, GIUI and the media attended the workshop. Before the workshop, the delegation led by Guangzhou CPPCC conducted a field study on the initiative of the Collaborative Roundtables for Innovation and Creativity -- one of the shortlisted initiatives of the 2nd Guangzhou Award. During the workshop, experts further analyzed and discussed the case. This initiative enables an open dialogue between senior officials, stimulates their innovative and imaginative actions and urges them to think beyond routine work; to break the stereotypes and adopt a creative spirit. The initiative is highly worth learning to enhance global city management innovation.
