USC professor to promote Guangzhou Award

Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government Mr. Lei Weiju held talks with Professor Vinayak Bharne, faculty of urbanism, landscape architecture and heritage conservation at the Sol Price School of Public Policy and School of Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC) in Guangzhou on March 18.
Both sides exchanged views on issues concerning urban planning, case studies and applications of the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award) initiatives, and the long-term development of the award. Dr. Bharne spoke highly of the Guangzhou Award and expressed his willingness to be an expert member of the Guangzhou Institute for Urban Innovation (GIUI) and to promote the Guangzhou Award.
